Chapters 11 and 12 Summary

Percy and Annabeth ride their pegusi to meet the defenders and fight the Minotaur. Percy kills a few monsters, then engages the Minotaur in single combat. Percy makes short work of the Minotaur, then chases the remaining monsters back across the bridge. On the other side of the bridge waits reinforcements, including Lord Kronos himself.

Kronos attacks Percy, confident that he will have no trouble with him. Very quickly Kronos learns that Percy bathed in the Styx. They fight for a short while, then Percy destroys the bridge. Kronos ad his army retreat until dusk.

Percy races to the Plaza where the demigods have set up a battle camp. Annabeth is injured gravely after she takes a knife that would have killed Percy. A son of Apollo heals her, but she will still need rest. She tells Percy about a chance...
