Chapter 7, Afterwords Summary

Jared sees Mallory and Simon watching TV and asks for their help. He reminds them that they heard the squirrel-like noise through the wall, and saw the boggart's nest in the wall. They may still think that Jared committed the mischievous pranks against them, but they have to remember that they have seen evidence of the boggart. Mallory grabs the Field Guide book out of Jared's hands and implicitly threatens to rip up the book. Jared is near panic until Simon intervenes and asks his bigger sister Mallory to listen to Jared.

Jared says that he has made a new nest for the creature and would like to be taken up through the kitchen dumbwaiter to the library again to put the nest out for the boggart. Mallory is somewhat skeptical and keeps the book, while no longer threatening to destroy...
