Summary

Section 4 begins with Chapter 50, and Mac waking from his nap, and walking to the Melia. He meets Sara in the parking lot, and she has been worried about him. They talk at the bar and agree to make up and start over, with Sara ordering Mac a Cuba Libre and repeating the same questions she asked at the beginning of their trip. Sara asks if it would have made a difference if she had told Mac Felipe’s name, and if he still would have slept with her, and he says, “It’s a moot question” (348). She promises not to lie to him anymore. She feels nervous about seeing Felipe that night. They talk about logistics, and needing to move quickly that night. The chapter ends as Mac tells Sara he loves her, and Felipe walks in.
