Summary

Chapter 19 begins as Mac walks into breakfast. The itinerary notes their first stop will be “Hemingway’s house just as he left it,” then an organic farm (127). Sara explains the farm will be for show, most of the food in the hotel is imported. Sara also tells Mac the treasure is packed in ten four-hundred pound steamer trunks - with bills and jewelry, but Carlos has a plan to get the trunks on The Maine. The chapter ends as they board the bus.

Chapter 20 starts as the tour arrives at Hemingway’s house. Antonio and Professor Nalebuff have different versions of Hemingway’s death and property, and Mac realizes Antonio probably has never learned the truth.
