Chapter 30 Summary

Bosch is late getting into court having waited until Sylvia was on her way to school. He is surprised to see neither the judge nor Chandler is there. Harry gets up to make a phone call, but the judge comes in, calls in the jury and asks if they have any questions. Keyes tells the jury Chandler had a scheduling conflict, but they are to continue deliberations. As soon as the judge is gone, Harry heads for the door. He tells Edgar to meet him at Chandlers' house explaining that she is blonde. Edgar gets it right away. Just as Harry reaches the freeway, he is paged that the jury is back, so he turns around asking Edgar to continue on alone. Chandler still isn't there, and Harry has a really bad feeling.
