Chapter 28 Summary

When Bosch clears the Rover channel, Rollenberger demands a report. Calmly Bosch tells him that he should proceed to the subject's house immediately. Then he cancels the call that went out to all the task force units to report in, and asks Edgar to report to Ray's. He turns off the Rover before Rollenberger can say anything else. Within half an hour they are assembled, and by the time Rollenberger gets there, they have a plan in place. Bosch explains that "one of them" conducted an illegal search of the subject's house and was caught in the act when the subject eluded the surveillance team. Rollenberger's wants to call Irving, but Bosch points out that if he does, he'll likely never be in charge of a team again. He asks Bosch what he suggests they do.
