Chapter 23 Summary

The jury is sent out to deliberate, and Keyes orders everyone to go not further than what would take no more than fifteen minutes to return to the courtroom. He sets a date for Chandler's contempt of court hearing and dismisses them. Harry heads to Parker Center and the conference room now dubbed the Follower Task Force's working area. Rollenberger and Edgar are the only ones there, and Edgar busies himself on the phone. Rollenberger fills Harry in on what little developments there are, and Harry follows Edgar out to get a coffee. In the stairwell, he tells Edgar that if he hasn't already approached Pounds, he shouldn't bother. Edgar is suspicious at first and then relieved when he realizes Harry is serious. Edgar tells him Mora's ex wife fits the profile of the other missing women, and the divorce was uncontested. Harry...
