Chapter 16 Summary

Sebastian is rushing Carrie to finish getting ready. Carrie is stalling because she is waiting for George to call to tell her what he thinks of the story she gave him to read. George calls and he says she has talent but that she needs to write about what she knows. When Carrie hangs up with George, she and Sebastian go to Lali's annual swim team party.

When they arrive at the party, Peter is happy and sharing the news he was accepted for early admission to Harvard. Maggie is drunk and upset, so Carrie takes her into Lali's barn to talk. Carrie and Maggie go back into the house to call Walt, but Walt's mother says he's supposed to be out with Carrie and hangs up.
