Style

Point of View

The Bottle Factory Outing is told from the third person perspective. This allows the readers to see the story in a neutral light and to make their own assumptions about the characters in the story. The reader is allowed into Brenda's thoughts more often than any other character. The author painstakingly paints a picture of Brenda through her thoughts and desires. While Freda shows us her character through words and actions, Brenda's behavior is very reserved.
