Freda is a twenty-six year old woman who lives in a tiny apartment in London that she shares with Brenda. She had never been married and dreams of one day having a family and a place to belong. She is tall, overweight and very outspoken. She is constantly frustrated by Brenda's strange mannerisms, but is the one that suggested the two women live together. Freda has dreams of becoming an actress, but in the meantime she works at the wine factory with Brenda. Her imagination and her dreams take over sometimes, as she imagines her future life with Vittorio, the manager at the factory, with whom she is madly in love.
