The Black Unicorn

The black unicorn is an elusive creature that is spotted throughout the land of Landover. Nobody seems to know where the black unicorn came from or why it is suddenly roaming the fields and meadows of the land. Whenever someone tries to capture it or touch it, however, the black unicorn darts away and remains un-captured. The black unicorn comes to Willow in her dream.

Each time Willow dreams about the black unicorn, however, it becomes more docile. In her first dream, the black unicorn seems like it is a demon. By the last dream, it seems as if it is docile and scared. Willow ultimately is able to capture the black unicorn.

By the end of the novel, they realize that the black unicorn is the shadow of the white unicorns that are trapped by magic inside of the books of magic. Since the spirits...
