Combat and Legend and Epilogue Summary

Ben hears Willow's cry from where he is. In an instant, Ben realizes that his love for Willow is what is propelling him to save her. He grasps the medallion in his hand and calls forth the Paladin. Ben feels the power surge through him as his body merges with the knight-errant.

Meeks also hears Willow's scream. He demounts the flying demon with the books of magic in his good hand. Abernathy warns Meeks to stay away from them, even offering him the unicorn to take away. Abernathy tells Willow to run as he launches himself at Meeks. Meeks wards him off with a flame of fire and then goes into the woods after the feeling Willow.
