The Atmosphere

The Atmosphere symbolizes belief. When Dyson first proposes the cult idea to Sasha, she agrees because she needs something and someone to believe in. The Atmosphere also gives Dyson something in which to hope: the betterment of terrible men. With time the cult proves capable of granting its members a sense of purpose, as well as faith in themselves.

ABANDON

Sasha's wellness brand, ABANDON, symbolizes performance. Sasha touts the brand as a way to help people free themselves from false or dangerous notions of beauty and identity. However, Sasha's mission is fraudulent. The brand's origin story is based on a distorted version of Dyson's eating disorder history. Even Sasha, the founder and spokesperson for ABANDON, lives in contradiction with the brand's central aims. ABANDON gives Sasha the stage on which she might fabricate and deliver an invented version of herself to the world.
