The Atmospherians Overview

Alex McElroy's debut novel The Atmospherians tells the story of first person narrator Sasha's fall from internet grace. After being implicated in a man's death, Sasha's career as a wellness influencer deteriorates. Her only escape is to accept her childhood best friend Dyson's offer to help him start a cult, The Atmosphere, for the betterment of men. Over the course of the novel, Sasha's involvement with The Atmosphere challenges the way she understands herself and others. The novel explores themes including authenticity, performance, and absolution.
