Hometown

Many of the scenes in flashback are set in Sasha and Dyson's rural New Jersey hometown. As children, Sasha and Dyson live in the most remote part of the town, their properties divided and surrounded by woods. They spend most of their time after school watching bootleg movies in Dyson's basement.

Years later, when Sasha is dating Blake, he rents a cabin in Sasha's hometown. Sasha is embarrassed by the town as soon as they drive in. All of the original shops have gone out of business, and been replaced by new businesses. Blake comforts her about how she feels, suggesting that she might feel negatively towards the place because she was hurt while living there.

While staying in the cabin, the two grow closer.
