Part 3: Chapters 43-46 Summary

In Chapter 43, Suzanne makes her way to the dig site, only to find the Christian Knoll has been there. Knoll sense someone behind him, but tries to keep his movements natural as he surveys the trucks and skeletons. Knoll leads Suzanne into the shaft, blocking her exist. She draw her gun and he draws his stiletto. Suzanne is ready for the stiletto that hurls past her head. She shoots the lights out over Knoll's head and runs for the exist. Knoll follows her. Suzanne gets to her car first and zooms off.

Later at the mine, Paul, Wayland, and Rachel find an injured worker in Chapters 44. They guess the Knoll and Suzanne have been there. Paul decides to tell Wayland about the mistrustful Grumer. Wayland barges into Grumer's hotel room and threatens him. Grumer tells them about Margarethe and...
