Diana Starling aka Diana Scalzi Carmody

Diana Scalzi is 15 years old and working as a mother’s helper on Cape Cod when she is raped by Hal, then known as Poe. Diana’s life is destroyed by the rape because she is no longer able to make good grades in school. She fails out of college and is unable to keep any job but a custodial job.
