Summary

In Chapter 35, Riley talks to their parents about the desire to participate in the panel at Trans Health Con. Although they seem concerned about Riley’s decision, they seem supportive of Riley when Riley tells them that they believe they owe it to themself to stand up to the other people like them.

Solo and Bec take Riley to the conference. As Riley walks with Bec into the huge convention center, Riley feels as if they are loosing control of themself. Bec notices how Riley is struggling and helps them to an outside bench. A flash of sunlight hits Riley’s eyes and takes them back to their assault. Riley begins to struggle in Bec’s hold but Bec continues to hold onto them, and eventually Riley calms. When Riley tries to kiss Bec, however, Bec stops Riley. She tells Riley she does...
