Summary

In Chapter 10, Riley arrives at school early to see Jim and Erik together on the football field. Riley notices Erik hand something to Jim when the two boys finish practicing. Although Riley is suspicious of Vickers’ decision to help Erik, they pass it off as being none of their business.

Solo tries to talk to Riley in their English class but Riley ignores him. Solo argues that he also knows what it is like to be bullied when Riley finally confronts him and tells him they were bothered by Solo’s act of ignoring them in the cafeteria. The two stop talking when other students begin filing into the room.

In government, Riley notices that Bec looks frazzled and that she leaves class as soon as the bell rings. In their math class, Riley is preoccupied with Solo because he indicated to Riley...
