Summary

In Chapter 7 when Riley gets home from school, there is an unfamiliar car in the driveway. They try to sneak into the house without being seen but comes face to face with the girl who called them “it” on the first day of school, as she comes out of the bathroom in Riley’s house. A woman’s voice calls for Sierra to come show how her blemishes had been cleared by tea tree oil. Riley goes into the room where the women are but their mother does not make them stay, instead gives them an excuse to go to their room. Riley feels bad for Sierra and senses that Sierra’s mother makes life miserable for her. Riley not feel badly enough, however, that it makes up for Sierra calling Riley an “it” the day before.
