Chapters 33 & 32 Summary

The next Wednesday, Fertility and Tender go on their third date. For transportation, they take the bus. While on the bus, someone begins to make Creedish jokes. Tender tries to fit in by laughing at the jokes along with everyone else on the bus. Fertility tells the joker to shut up. She does not think it is funny that he is joking about people who committed suicide.

When the bus stops, people begin to exit. As the joker leaves the bus, Tender realizes that he recognizes him. He is staring at a very familiar face - his own face. The joker asks Tender if they know one another, but Tender vehemently refuses. He then asks if Tender is his brother, and Tender again refuses to acknowledge him.

Fertility is mad that Tender was laughing at the Creedish with the others on the bus...
