Chapters 23-26 Summary

In chapter 23, Elvis has Jonna call the police to report her husband dead, then has her hide the drugs before they arrive. Elvis then goes home to a moody Lucy. They are making a silent dinner together when Rossi and Pike come by. Rossi wants to apologize for being difficult that morning and asks Elvis to please do all he can to help her. After they leave, Elvis has dinner with Lucy and Ben before they go to bed. Lucy does not come to Elvis that night.

In chapter 24, Lucy and Ben plan a day in Beverly Hills. Elvis promises to surprise them with a nice dinner that night. Elvis talks to the coroner's office and learns that Lester appears to be the victim of an accident, but there is some evidence that he might have been choked to unconsciousness and...
