Chapters 1-5 Summary

Summer Knight details the life and troubles of Harry Dresden, Wizard. Harry is hired by the Winter Faerie Queen to solve the mysterious death of the Summer Knight. The death of the Summer Knight has caused the entire balance of the seasons to shift and could cause catastrophic damage to the world. It is up to Harry to find the answers, save the world, and himself in the process.

In chapter one Harry Dresden meets Billy the werewolf in Lake Meadow Park. Billy is concerned about strange things that are happening around Chicago, such as the rain of toads that is taking place at the moment. Harry explains that strange magical happenings might mean serious problems. Billy wonders if it has anything to do with the vampire wars. Harry acts oblivious, but Billy tells him that word travels and everyone knows...
