Book 3: Chapter 15-20 Summary

Chapter fifteen begins with silence coming from the cavern that Villanueva fired into. Suddenly a creature attacks as Ben and Ashley dive behind a boulder. Ashley has dropped her gun, but the creature cannot reach them. Villanueva stands still and the creature doesn't seem to see him. Villanueva waits for a good shot, knowing that once he draws the attention of the creature there will be little to stop it from killing him. Meanwhile, Michaelson is covering the back where he sees several more monsters. Villanueva takes a shot but misses. The creature attacks Villanueva. Linda and Khalid make a loud noise and the monster is distracted for a just a moment. It turns away from Villanueva and he is able to shoot the monster with his good arm. Michaelson has twisted his ankle. The group makes its way...
