Chapter 22 Summary

Kel drinks a lot of water and eats a lot. Rei steps into the room and does the same with the food and water. They tell Zane and Danica of their journey to the island and back. Rei tells the group that the empress stripped them of their past lives so they are mere mortals now. He also says that she erased the secrets Kel knew. Kel asks Danica's permission to ask for an Alistair, even though the man is the one that's supposed to do the courting. Danica grants permission and Kel and Rei make vows to each other. Everyone in the nest cheers.
