Chapter 18 Summary

Valene and A'isha wake Zane and Danica with excited yelling. They say they found the text that will help them free Rei. They say freeing Kel could be a little trickier. They also find in the text a similar symbol between the two races that indicates they might have lived side by side at one time.

Chapter 18 Analysis

The finding foreshadows Valene traveling to the island to fight to get Rei and Kel back. Additionally, there is foreshadowing of Zane and Danica creating a third land. In this third land, they can raise their mixed-blood child in the ways of both of their people. This would also resolve the problem of who owns which lands because both the serpiente and the avian would be able to live in the new land shared land as one.
