Diana Bishop

Diana is a witch married to the vampire Matthew Roydon (who was known as Matthew Clairmont in the first novel of this series). Diana has refused to acknowledge her power and never used it until a situation forced the issue. Now, Diana uses her power to travel back to 1590 with Matthew to develop her power and to find a manuscript she believes has vital information for the creatures (vampires, witches, and daemons) in the 21st Century.

Though Diana is a strong character, she is an immature witch because of the years she ignored the training young witches typically receive. Diana is loyal and brave, and she accepts the violent side of Matthew's personality without reservation. She is also intelligent and determined.
