Chapter 9-12 Summary

In Chapter 9, Rose spends Sunday afternoon, her off day, cleaning out the attic room of the church for her community service. Without explanation, Dimitri has decided to join her. As they work, the priest mentions some new books on St. Vladimir and his guardian, Anna. Lissa and Rose had been deeply interested in the pair previously because they were the only other spirit and shadow kissed coupling they knew about, like Rose and Lissa. However, their interest has waned since Adrian's arrival. At the same time, Rose asks the priest about ghosts and he tells her that he believes spirits can remain on the earth plane for more than a month after death if they died violently or exceptionally young.
