Chapter 30 Summary

Attia and the rest are shivering at the foot of the winged Sapphique statue. The warden says it's just an illusion created by Incarceron to get them to give it the glove. The warden states that Claudia loves only Jared, but that she became involved with Giles because her father wanted her to become queen. Rix makes a reference to another story. Rix voice changes to Sapphique's voice for just a moment. The temperature continues to drop, causing icicles to form on the Sapphique statue. They suddenly hear a riot break out from the prisoners.
