Chapter 28 Summary
Rix points out that the heartbeat of the prison has changed and that it's faster now. The warden comes into the room to lead them to Incarceron. The warden opens a door with darkness, steam and heat pouring out from behind it.
Claudia is frustrated going through Jared's papers trying to figure out where the hidden door of the portal is. She says the portal has sounds coming out of it. Claudia's father's pocket watch chimes in Finn's pocket, which is something it's never done before.
When Attia walks through the door, the world is titled. They find themselves outside without walls or a roof. The heartbeat stops as soon as they pass the door. Rix thinks he sees the prsion's face and it is the face of Sapphique.
