The Seventh Day: Game Dogs and Game Men Summary

Big Henry drives Daddy to the hospital with the rest of the family, except for Skeetah who stays behind to take care of China. Daddy comes out of the hospital room at three in the morning, and they return to sleep. Skeetah is gone the next morning, along with China. Daddy watches the news, which announces that Katrina has landed in Florida. The newscaster is warning people to be prepared for the storm.

Later, Esche hears China and several other dogs barking in the woods. Skeetah is controlling them all. Randall's basketball game takes place later that day, and Esche asks Skeetah what the barking was about. Skeetah responds that China forgot who he was. Eventually, Randall is ready for the game and they all leave Daddy to rest...
