Summary

Chapter 1

In this chapter, the reader learns that Eric Campbell is having an affair with Tracy Robichaud, the wife of Dr. Kent Robichaud. Although Eric likes Kent, he tries not to think about him when he’s sleeping with Kent’s wife. Kent and Tracy own a home in Corpus, but come to their condo in Villa Del Sol, Southport, to be closer to the marina. The Robichauds are wealthy. They have high end kitchen counters and luxurious furnishings as well as separate air conditioners for the first and second floor of the condo.

Eric teaches seventh grade and is currently teaching summer school. He meets with Tracy on Wednesdays after class. His son, Griffin who just turned 14, usually sleeps in or plays video games until it is cool enough to go skateboarding. He is required to call either his mom...
