Point of View

The novel is written in the third person point of view. The author uses the omniscient element, moving from the mind of one character to another throughout the novel. This author remains in the minds of the three main characters, taking turns in an obvious cycle that the reader can recognize, leaving confusion at a minimum.

The third person point of view allows the reader to see the thoughts and emotions of the narrating characters, but allows some distance that is not available in the first person point of view. In this novel, the author moves from Kyle to Jason to Nelson in a cycle that is predictable and clear to the reader.
