Driving Runt's yellow Ford, they pull into Chicago and immediately start scanning the streets for a good place for her to work. He drops her off on a street and within the next few hours, has his wallet stolen and all of Runt's jewelry stolen out of the car. Blood runs into Pretty Preston, whose shoes he used to shine when he worked with Henry, and he tells him about the local areas. While getting Preston some alcohol as payment for information, Blood sees a man beating a whore for getting drunk with a trick. The pimp's name is Poison. He is the second biggest pimp in Chicago. Preston tells Blood about both Poison and Sweet Jones, the most successful pimp in the area. Sweet Jones will become the ultimate goal for Blood—he will see Sweet as having acheived the highest level of success in his career.
