Chapter 4: A Degree in Pimping Summary and Analysis
In jail, Blood listens to the other inmates and is eager to learn more about the pimping game. He enters the 711 Club and sees a "runty" whore that has recently moved into town from Saint Louis. After talking with her for a little while, she agrees to be his whore. He is still very new at being a pimp and constantly reminds himself what the other ex-pimps said about pimping while in jail. After establishing he is her pimp, he stops by Mama's house to tell her he is leaving Milwaukee and going to the City.
In the end, Blood gets a free education of his own—a career in pimping. Rather than going to the university and graduating with prestige, Blood enrolls in a pimping class of sorts in jail. Here, he learns the tricks of the trade and becomes enticed by its promise of power and easy...
