Summary

Rachel, Percy’s human friend, invited him to their vacation house in St. Thomas. He was tempted to go, but he was “on call for a mission. Also, he was going to turn sixteen the next week. According to prophecy, bad things would happen. He told Rachel he really wanted to go with her, but he could not. Even though Rachel was a mortal, she could see through the Mist.
