Chapters 11 and 12 Summary

At first, everyone stays silent. As the pageant rehearsal continues, Seth says he cannot believe Katie didn't tell him Tommy was back in town. He mentions that his brother lost his college scholarship because of what Tommy did. Katie can feel Seth tensing up more and more as rehearsal continues. Sidney mentions that the guys are probably planning a blanket party for Tommy later on, which is when they throw a blanket over the victim and beat him up. The exception is they don't bother throwing blankets over the victims anymore because most of the cops are former Quahogs, so they don't arrest the players involved.

As Mrs. Hayes asked, Katie shoots some photos of rehearsal for the paper to print as publicity in the morning edition of the local paper. Katie kisses Seth goodbye and rides off on her bike...
