Chapter 12 Summary

Flying back to Hawaii, Pitt again ignores orders to land at Pearl Harbor landing pad and instead lands on the lawn next to the military hospital. After treatment for his leg, he returns to his hotel. After a few hours he is awakened by a frantic Adrian Hunter, who tells him of a break-in to her apartment that killed her lover. She reveals that her lover is the, now dead, Captain Orl Cinana. Pitt manages to reach Admiral Hunter on the phone and brings him up to date on Cinana. Hunter tells Pitt he will have his security handle the situation and that he wants Pitt and Adrian to go to Pearl Harbor. Before they can leave, five men enter the room. "They came ten minutes later, not to escort them to Admiral.....
