Chapter 11 Summary

They all watch the fog come upon them. Pitt announces it is hardly a normal situation given the weather conditions and then identifies the smell of eucalyptus. Boland gives the order to pull up anchor and get out of the area. The underwater monitors indicate the presence of large fish, which Pitt announces are underwater divers swimming toward the ship. Pitt wants them to evacuate in the chopper and goes out to warm it up. He notices two intruders come on the Martha Ann. Pitt kills them with his Mauser. As the battle continues, more of the crew arrives at the helicopter. Pitt learns that Boland and Stanley were overcome by their attackers. Pitt makes one last check of the salvage ship before leaving and finds the injured, still-alive.....
