Chapter 19 Summary

Traffic is snarled as all New Yorkers make their way home for the holiday. A small fender bender escalates until Dallas intervenes, getting a purse in the head for her troubles. She stops in on the Icoves on the way home, hoping to discover Deena's location, but is unsuccessful. When she finally gets home, there are children in the yard and one runs alongside her car to the house. Sean is friendly and talkative, knocking Dallas off her game temporarily. It doesn't get easier. There are more children of all ages inside and their assorted adults as well. Roarke moves easily among them, and asks only that Dallas try, apologizing for the Roarke family invasion again. Later, he takes them on a city tour and to go ice skating afterward while she returns to her office. She begins looking for the incubation sectors...
