Chapters 53-58 Summary

Odd's mother accuses her son of being a leech, of sucking her strength away. Odd's mother also informs him that she wanted to have an abortion when he was inside of her, and she wishes she had. Odd tells her he loves her, but this only makes her angrier, more determined to hurt him. Odd's mother holds the gun to her head and tells Odd that he is making her commit suicide with his needs.
