Part II, Chapters 10-11 Summary

Part II, The Assault

Chapter 10: Peeta manages to announce on air that the Capitol is planning an attack that night. Quickly everyone is herded to a bunker underground. Katniss worries because neither Gale nor Prim is there. Just as the doors are about to shut, Katniss sticks her hand in to prevent the doors from closing as Gale and Prim arrive, Buttercup in tow. Gale says he had gone back to their compartment to retrieve Katniss' game bag, Katniss' treasures from Peeta and Mrs. Everdeen's box. Prim had picked up Buttercup.

Katniss is told that people will model her behavior so she must be careful what she does and says.

Coin orders Katniss and others to go above ground to show the Capitol that District 13 is still intact and more importantly, that Katniss is alive.
