Part I, Chapters 7-9 Summary

Chapter 7: The hovercraft lands in District 8, where the group, including Katniss' bodyguards and TV crew, is taken to a makeshift hospital. Along the way, dead bodies are seen everywhere. Those who are not dead are maimed, seriously wounded, and most likely, dying.

Katniss says she cannot be filmed in the hospital. Boggs says she can and will because she has to do it. Katniss steels herself against the smell and desire to faint. People begin to call out to Katniss as she walks through the hospital. KShe atniss sees that Boggs was right - Katniss' appearance has done a lot of good for the sick. It is not long before Boggs is warned that they have to return to the airstrip because there are bombers on the way. All is silent at first and then a group...
