Crimson is the most elite unit of the Bruja guilds. Turquoise and Ravyn fight to become their leader, but at their rematch, Turquoise decides to relinquish the title, though she wins.

Bruja is a group of vampire hunters that Turquoise joins after Nathaniel helps her escape from Lord Daryl.

Midnight

Midnight is the main setting of this novel. It is a large building where vampires rule over humans. It was founded in the early 1600s by Jeshickah and her sister, but the building was destroyed in the early 1800s. Recently, Jaguar reopened Midnight to prevent Lord Daryl from doing so. When Turquoise and Ravyn are hired to kill Jeshickah before she resumes control of Midnight, Nathaniel sells them to Jaguar as slaves.
