Section 4: Chapters 5 & 6 Summary

In Chapter 5, a young boy of around fourteen years exits through the door, freezing and falling to his knees when he sees Jeshickah who tells him to get out of her way. Jeshickah leads the group to Jaguar's room where Turquoise is amazed by Jaguar's beauty as he lies sprawled on a black leather couch with a whip curled across his chest. His expression changes to wary aggression as he notices Jeshickah, but he ignores her to ask Nathaniel if these are the girls he called about. Nathaniel explains they are not perfectly broken, but they are smart enough not to give him trouble. When Jeshickah asks to see the scars on Turquoise's arms, Jaguar notes they were made by a whip before Jeshickah and Nathaniel exit to negotiate a price to let Jaguar get acquainted with her new acquisitions.
