Chapter 11 Summary

In Chapter 11, a week later, Naomi receives a postcard from James telling her to forget him. She finds Will at the yearbook office and bursts into tears in his arms and he drives her home. Winnie, Will's girlfriend, confronts Naomi the next day in the hallway, basically telling Naomi to leave Will alone.

Chapter 11 Analysis

Naomi has missed her opportunity to kindle a romance with Will. Even though they will always be close friends, Will has emotionally moved on to be with someone else. Naomi is experiencing heartbreak for the first time in her life by losing James.
