Chapter 8 Summary

In Chapter 8, in January, Naomi and James are driving to his job at the community college when Naomi's memory returns. Suddenly she remembers that Will and she kissed the night before her accident. She remembers the coin toss and that when she came out of the school from retrieving the camera that she kicked a Styrofoam cup that spilled liquid on the stairs. When she slipped in the liquid, she threw herself forward to try to catch and save the camera. Naomi keeps the return of her memory to herself and she suddenly misses her mom. Naomi is also grateful in her mind that James is the one that was standing on the bottom of the stairs when she fell because it could have been anyone.
