Chapter 5 Summary

In Chapter 5, Ace doesn't like Naomi's haircut, but Will and Alice both do. Alice even invites Naomi to try out for a play that Alice is putting on for the school. Alice mentions that Naomi cutting her hair is as if she doesn't have anything to hide anymore. Naomi suggests to her teacher that her photograph project should be about pregnancy because she is adopted and her sister is not.

Naomi ends up trying out for Alice's play. The tryout after school makes Naomi late for yearbook. When Will asks her why she is late, Naomi lies because she wants to know something about herself that Will doesn't.

Naomi lands the part as Hamlet in Alice's play. During the first play rehearsal, Naomi learns James is working on the video components of the play. She also learns that Alice is bi-sexual. After play...
