Chapters 21 and 22 Summary

In Chapter 21, the group prepares to make the journey to find Lissa's sibling, with Dimitri at the wheel and seating arrangements to minimize problems while driving. Rose tells Dimitri that they have to find a way to get the brothers back to the guardians. When Rose checks in on Lissa, she finds two guardians at Lissa's door beckoning her for the second test, which is in a room with an old Moroi woman in her early 100s. The Moroi woman pours water into a goblet or chalice. When Lissa drinks from it, it takes her into a spirit dream, where she is standing by a grave with a priest and some other people. The funeral is for Rose, who died protecting Lissa from a Strigoi attack. Christian appears and tells Rose that he is leaving Court and leaving her. Then, Lissa...
