Chapters 9 and 10 Summary

In Chapter 9, Rose realizes the vampire faces that step out from the woods are mostly Moroi and some dhampir. The leader realizes Sydney is an Alchemist from the lily tattoo on her cheek. Sydney tells the leader they need shelter because Rose is accused of murdering the Tainted Queen of the Morois. The trio follows the group down the path until they reach a bonfire surrounded by a small village. When they reach the village, Rose notices more Moroi, dhampirs and even humans are part of this group, which the leaders says are The Keepers, a group of Moroi that live in the traditional ways. Sydney, Dimitri and Rose take food and shelter in Raymond and Sarah's home. Rose and Dimitri take shifts sleeping while Sydney sleeps.
